Southeast Missouri State University said its Master of Science in Nursing graduates achieved a 100% pass rate over six years on nurse practitioner certification examinations in Cape Girardeau, according to an announcement dated Oct. 6, 2026. The university reported a 98% first-time pass rate on exams from the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board.
The announcement said board certification is required for family nurse practitioner licensure in Missouri and that national certification demonstrates graduates have met established standards for advanced-practice nursing knowledge and competency.
SEMO said its Family Nurse Practitioner students study evidence-based practice, advanced assessment, diagnosis, pharmacology and patient management across the lifespan. The university said students also take part in board-preparation activities as graduation approaches.
