Southeast Missouri State University Athletics said its volleyball team lost 3-1 to Lindenwood on Friday, Oct. 9, at Houck Field House in Cape Girardeau. Set scores were 25-16, 23-25, 23-25 and 22-25, according to the university.

The Redhawks won the opening set, then Lindenwood took the next three, with the final sets decided by two, two and three points, the announcement said. Southeast Missouri hit.299, recording 56 kills and 16 blocks, according to the university.

Reagan Nelson led Southeast Missouri with 17 kills, 19.5 points, seven digs and three blocks, the university reported. Lucy Arndt had 12 kills and four blocks, while Jacey Young recorded nine blocks. Marin Johnson added eight kills, five blocks and two service aces, and Megan Holder had 23 assists, according to the announcement.

The university listed Southeast Missouri’s record as 11-7 overall and 4-1 in the Ohio Valley Conference, and Lindenwood’s as 15-2 and 5-0 in conference play. The Redhawks were scheduled to host Lindenwood again Saturday at 2 p.m., according to the announcement.
